15-acre park on the Gravesend and Northfleet boundary with a play area, sensory garden, outdoor gym, tennis courts and a hidden Cold War bunker.

About Woodlands Park

Woodlands Park dates from 1937 and covers 15 acres between Gravesend and Northfleet, with access from Wrotham Road or Dashwood Road. It has a children’s play area, outdoor gym equipment, a basketball court, a bowling green and pay and play tennis courts, plus a sensory garden created on the former golf area as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. A perimeter path circles managed grassland and trees.

Beneath the park lies a 1954 Civil Defence bunker, shown by pre-booked guided tour only. Dogs are not allowed in the play area and bikes and e-scooters are prohibited. The park is locked each evening at varying times, with pedestrian access through the kissing gates at the end of Dashwood Road.

Accessibility

The council lists the park as wheelchair accessible, with toilets and disabled facilities.
