Sarre

Sarre is a village in the Thanet district. It was an old crossing point, where the road from Margate to Canterbury crossed the Wantsum Channel, by ferry at first and later by a bridge, and Visit Thanet notes that the channel once made Thanet an island. Sarre Windmill, a smock mill built in 1820, is Grade II listed.
