River
River is a village and civil parish on the River Dour, about 2 miles north of Dover town centre. Crabble Corn Mill on Lower Road was built in 1812 to grind flour for troops posted in Kent during the Napoleonic Wars. Kearsney Abbey, a park on the Dour, is also in the parish.
