Penshurst
Penshurst is a village and civil parish where the River Medway meets the River Eden, between Tonbridge and Royal Tunbridge Wells. Penshurst Place is the ancestral home of the Sidney family, and its own website says the Baron’s Hall was completed in 1341 and that the family has cared for the estate since 1552. Visitors can tour the house and gardens.
