Milton

Milton is an area of Gravesend, in the Gravesham district. Milton Chantry, a Grade II* listed building, is all that remains of the leper hospital of Milton. It was re-founded in the early 1320s by Aymer de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, and has since been a chantry chapel, a public house, military barracks and a Second World War gas decontamination site. It is now the Chantry Heritage Centre.
