Leysdown-on-Sea
Leysdown-on-Sea is a village on the east coast of the Isle of Sheppey in the Swale district. It is in the civil parish of Leysdown, which also covers Bay View, Shellness and Harty. In 1909 the Aero Club of Great Britain set up its first flying ground near Leysdown, and Short Brothers built aircraft there before moving to Eastchurch.
