Kilndown
Kilndown is a village in the civil parish of Goudhurst, which has a Kilndown ward. Christ Church is Grade I listed, and Kent’s heritage record says it was built in 1839 to 1841 by Anthony Salvin, with alterations for A J Beresford Hope from 1840. Wikipedia says the village itself was established in the 1840s by Viscount Beresford, who owned the Bedgebury estate.
