Kearsney

area · Dover

Kearsney is an area in the Dover district, about 2 miles from Dover. Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens are two parks either side of the Alkham Valley Road, and the River Dour runs through both. Russell Gardens, designed by Thomas Mawson, is Grade II listed on the Register of Parks and Gardens. Despite its name, Kearsney Abbey was a country house and was never a monastic estate.
