Harbledown
Harbledown is a village in the Canterbury district, immediately west of Canterbury, in the civil parish of Harbledown and Rough Common. The Hospital of St Nicholas was founded by Archbishop Lanfranc in the 1080s as a leper hospital and later became almshouses. Its Old Leper Church of St Nicholas is listed at Grade I, and Kent’s heritage record dates it to the late 11th century with 12th- and 14th-century additions.
