Halling
Halling is a village on the River Medway, in three parts: Lower Halling, Upper Halling and North Halling, spread about 3 miles along the valley. The Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers the hills to the west. The remains of the medieval palace of the Bishops of Rochester, a scheduled monument (list entry 1011772), lie just east of the Church of St John the Baptist.
