Great Stonar

Great Stonar is an area in the Dover district, near Sandwich. The site of the medieval port of Stonar, on the River Stour, is a scheduled monument, and the port is recorded in 1090. Kent’s heritage record dates its destruction to a sea flood in 1365 to 1366.
