Frittenden
Frittenden is a village and civil parish in the Weald of Kent. The earliest documentary evidence of the village is a Saxon charter of 804. St Mary’s Church is Grade II* listed, and Kent’s heritage record dates the present building to 1846 to 1848, incorporating the base of a 15th-century tower. Rupert Inglis, the rector, was killed at the Somme in 1916 and is named on the First World War memorial.
