Allington
Allington is an area of Maidstone, on the A20 to the north-west of the town centre. Allington Castle is Grade I listed, and Kent’s heritage record dates the licence to fortify the manor house to 1281, with the present castle from the late 13th century. The castle was later a mansion and is now a private residence.
