X-Pilot

X-Pilot is a classic former pilot vessel run by Marine A Services, a Minster-based operator, offering boat trips from Queenborough Harbour. Its trips head out into the Thames Estuary to the Second World War Maunsell Forts at Redsand, Shivering Sands and Knock John, some of which later housed pirate radio stations, and past the wreck of the SS Richard Montgomery. Trips last from about four to seven hours, with prices that vary by season. It also runs River Medway cruises, special event sailings and private charters all year round, and sells gift vouchers.
