Whitstable Harbour

Accessible

Traditional working harbour with huts and independent businesses, seasonal boat tours, a sea sauna and the South Quay Shed, on the Whitstable waterfront.

About Whitstable Harbour

The working harbour is Whitstable’s main visitor draw, with wooden huts and independent businesses selling food and crafts, boat tours that normally run from April to October, a sea sauna and the South Quay Shed. Plan around the tides; tide tables are published a week ahead. The large Gorrell Tank car park (CT5 1BZ) is opposite the harbour and fills up in summer and on bank holidays. The harbour area is flat with wide paths and a ramp from the car park, and the South Quay Shed has a lift to the upper floor. Public toilets on South Quay include a Changing Places facility. The harbour’s own site was unreachable when checked, so the details come from Visit Canterbury’s harbour section.
