Speldhurst
Speldhurst is a village and civil parish west of Tunbridge Wells, and the parish also takes in Ashurst, Langton Green and Old Groombridge. The Church of St Mary the Virgin is Grade II* listed. Kent’s heritage record says it was rebuilt in 1870 to 1871 by John Oldrid Scott after the old church was destroyed by lightning in 1791, and that 10 of its windows are Burne-Jones designs.
