St Nicholas at Wade
St Nicholas at Wade is a village and civil parish in the Thanet district. It is known for hoodening, an East Kent winter custom, and hoodening.org.uk says the village’s group restarted it in 1966. Visit Thanet says the village grew up around a medieval church, and the parish church of St Nicholas is Grade I listed, with Kent’s heritage record dating its origins to the 12th century.
