About Lower Leas Coastal Park

The linear park between Folkestone and Sandgate has held a Green Flag Award every year since 2007, according to the district council. It has a 350-seat amphitheatre, picnic areas, a cafe, toilets, a labyrinth and a Zig Zag path. The adventure playground is described as free and was redeveloped at a cost of £750,000; the council’s news item of 31 July 2026 says the refurbished play area had reopened. Dogs on leads in designated areas. No barbecues. The coastal park car park is closed overnight.

Accessibility

The fun-zone play area is described as inclusive and wheelchair accessible. No further access details given.
